what I enjoyed this year and what i am looking forward to next year

Make a copy then begin your planning:

  1. List all the things you have been involved with this year
    1. Sports teams?  year 7 and 8 team
    2. Leadership roles?  i was a year 7 prefect
    3. Special events? prize giving
    4. Literacy/Math groups.  Inquiry/topic groups.

  1. Choose 2 which you thoroughly enjoyed, explain why maths because it is hard and i like a challenge and inquiry because i like being creative  and since i like a challenge that is the reason why i like math and not literacy if it was a bit harder i would like literacy

  1. Choose 2 that you didn’t enjoy as much, explain why literacy because the work is not to hard and topic because every thing we do i have already learned by that i mean i have done it every year so that is why i don’t like it

4. Special mention/thanks?  Do you have specific people or groups you’d like to acknowledge from you time in Pt England?

I would like to say thank you to my kapa haka teacher because she is so nice and kind and even when things are thought she still push thru she is a warrior just like me and i would like to say thank you to my teachers for teaching me this year i can’t wait for next year

5. 2019: What are you looking forward to next year? Being   What are you anxious about? What will you do to help you get through difficult times in the class, playground, with your peers?

I am looking forward to being year 8 and being leaders of the school but i am anxious about seeing if i get picked to be prefect and the way i will get thru the difficult times is ask for help when i am stuck and drink a lot of water

6. Sign off: What’s a neat sentence or phrase you’d like to sign off with?  One of our Team 5 sayings? Mr Burt Korero?
I would like to remind everyone be in the right place at the right time with the right attitude that is the saying do all of those things and you will be ok.

what is a solid liquid an gas ?

Today the 4th of December my class was looking at particles in a solid liquid and gas so we learned how
solids are stuck together and can not move for example ice  the ice is a solid because it does not move
as much as water but if you give the ice heat it turns into water.

Water is something everyone and everything needs it is everywhere it is in nature but the particles in
water is connected but they are loose because a solids particles is stuck together and they don’t move
but the water particles are together but not stuck so the go over each other.

If you give heat to water you make gas hot air the gas particle is not connected at all so when the water
gets heat the gas particles can run away it is like they have more energy a solid has very little energy
then a liquid has a bit more energy so it can move around more and then gas has the most energy out
of all of them because it is like they are running away.

Under the tree

It was a beautiful day I decided to go and hang out at the park. Then in the corner of my eye I spot the
most beautiful spot to have some alone time. So I got a book and went to sit down under the beautiful
tree that I saw.

But when I went to go and start reading a girl came up to me and said “ hi can i sit here” . I said to her “
yea sure” she wanted her alone time to so unlike me she was writing I was reading so I asked her what
are you writing about she stared at me not saying anything it felt so awkward so she decided to leave.

She ran off without any second thoughts but she left her thing that looks like her diary but when i went looking for her she was nowhere in sight so i was so curious to what she was writing i had a little read of what she was writing and then it looked like she was writing about me and i was so shocked to see that someone i don't even know actually know more stuff that i knew about myself.

Hunted house

Image result for haunted houseOne scary Halloween night  me and my friends were going to a Halloween party.
Then we walked past a scary house. We kept staring at the haunted house and then my
friend had an idea to ring the doorbell for some candy and when he was walking we had shivers
down our spins but we still rang the doorbell and when we did there was an intense bit on wind
that flew at us.

The door open so slow and when it opened it sounded scary we took one step in and we heard
voices saying get out NOW you are not welcome here, but  we just kept on walking we walked
around the house. It smelt old and smelt like dead people were in there.

My friend walk in a small room and saw a shadow he was so frightened he came where we were
and told us there was a shadows everywhere around us and it was whistling then the house
started shaking and more sounds started getting closer and closer then we started running out
of the house we ran left right left right then we all started screaming and we tried to find a way
out but one of our friends got pulled back so we went in to save him........

my way of being a good learner

Learning is one of the most important thing well  to my knowledge . My mum and dad always say if you have a good education  you can be anything you want.  But anyways this is my way of being  good learner go take a look at my other paragraphs if your up for it.

A good learner means always being present to school as a good learner you will always need at least 12 hours of sleep followed by a nice nutritious breakfast. For example if you have a test you will need a lot of water and a good breakfast let me give you an example. Your teacher might say :ok kids we have a test tomorrow: and you go to school without having a good breakfast or drinking some water you brain won’t wake up properly and you will do poorly in your test if you do drink water and have a good breakfast you will do excellent.

I also think a good learner needs to know how to celebrate let me explain. You can help people
with their learning but only help them don’t do there work  just help them. Here is an example
when your friend needs help you can ask what do you need help with he says this slide and the
you can explain it to him/her.

WALT: we are learning how to explain how to be a good learner

It is impossible to learn without getting help let me explain. You might not want help thats alright but if you do get stuck you must ask for help the only one that can help you at school is a teacher but at home ask your parents to help your learn more I will give you an example. For my example i am going to tell you that you can ask people for help so when you need help but you are to scared to ask for help I suggest that you talk to your teacher I guarantee they will help

So I hope you enjoyed all my ideas about how to be a good learner that is my for ideas on how
to be a good learner.

Attitude talk

Today the 17 of October Toni attitude came to P.E.S he was talking to us about how puberty is a big thing
in our life we learned how it can help us and how change is good and how puberty has an effect in our
life . I also learned that how healthy eating is a healthy body and it will stop you from getting pimples and he said
“ you will grow hair everywhere “. He also made it so entertaining so everyone enjoyed it so that was a
good thing.

This is what I do in the holidays

INTRO :
One day in the holidays my friend Terry came to see me and he
said to me “ Jaylim do you want to come and train “ I said ‘’
yeah sure i will meet you at the park “

part 1 :
So when we got there he was telling me come first we must
stretch so we don’t pull a muscle so we started at our ankles
and worked our way up to our shoulders then we went for a jog
the jog was approximately 1 km so not to long. Because I ran 3
km at cross country .

Part 2 :
Then we done ball skills so how I carried the ball he says “run
at me your hardest and I will try and tackle you’’ I was to
scared to run my hardest because he is smaller than me but I
knew he could tackle me so I still ran my hardest and just as I
thought he tackled me.

Part 3 :
Then he said “ I can run but i can teach you to step” I said sure
I would like to learn how to step. So he shows me one of his
hardest steps.  Can we do a simple one so he shows me the
easiest one in his opinion. So I say “i can learn this it don’t look
that hard “ but when I go and try to attempt the step before you
know it I am on the ground lying flat on my back .

Conclusion : so I said i will keep practising so I would not stop
until I learned the step and finally I finished learning how to do
the step. That is the

Jaylim kiwi kids news

Queensland are State of Origin rugby league champions again after crushing New South Wales 52 points
to queensland and 6 points for new south  in the decider in Brisbane.
The Maroons dominated the first half, scoring three tries to none. They had 65 percent of possession and led 22-2 at the break. The second half was much of the same as the Maroons quickly kept out to a 28-2 lead.
Queensland were aggressive in defence, but New South Wales were their own worst enemies also, giving
away cheap penalties and dropping the ball far too often before the 52,000 crowd. It is the most points Queensland have scored in an Origin match and it is their biggest winning margin.

STRIKE DAY

On Wednesday the teachers in new Zealand is going on a strike. The reason why they are going on
strike is because they have to tell how important the student are and how the teachers, need to teach
the kids more work. Also we should give teachers less paper work so they can actually teach the kids
what they need to learn. Or else when the children comes to school and they looked on the site there’s
no work on there, and they will look at the teacher and will be so confused why the teacher didn’t do any
work for them.

When it’s like children when they need help a lot and there's only one teacher there but it’s hard maybe
going on strike will make them have more time probably they will also get extra paid Why the teachers
are going on strike because

resources and assistive technology the child will need
how parents and whānau can support learning at home
Find out how to apply for funding to provide your child with a teacher’s aide who'll work with them in the
classroom to help them learn Abouts what going on strike means.

what i fell like doing in the morning?

Every morning I wake up and feel like playing rugby, so I always wake my uncle up and tell him to take
me to the Panmure basin to lose some energy.  But that doesn't help, so I get ready for school, grab my
rugby ball and play some rugby before school every morning. When I play, I lose most of my energy. So
when I get to school  I am not as excited as I am in the morning. That is why I like Saturdays because I
play rugby against other clubs. So when I finish my game, I go with my day to watch the All blacks vs
the Wallabies. I like practising so I can make it into the back line maybe one maybe one day I will.Image result for rugby

What is 'Kua tae te wā' related to?

What is 'Kua tae te wā' related to?
In 2018, we'll be making the message loud and clear - It's time! Time to lead, teach and learn. It's Time is

our campaign for primary schools

Who does it affect? Most of the time, you'll want affect as a verb meaning to influence
something and effect for the something that was influenced. The difference between affect and
effect is so slippery that people have started using "impact" as a verb instead

What are people hoping to achieve?  I want to serve people within the power of administration. ...
I want to achieve this grand success before my grandparents and want to see and ..... I hope that my
wish to become financially independent becomes a reality and that I have the luck …

What your opinion on this matter?  Should there be a strike - why??

If Labour won't stand up for us, we'll have to do it ourselves. ... I will be taking strike action in defence
of my pension and the future of the fire service but also in defence of my rights as a proud public
sector ...
